The intro uses stick figures to represent a common transgender person (example below) A common way to describe transgender is the mind doesn't match the body, which is why iv'e drawn a common stick figure with the trans flag inside.

The Colours I am using in this video are inspired by the Transgender and Non Binary pride flags. While the portraits are using their natural colours, you can see in the background that they each use a different colour of the pride flags.  This has given the overall video a rather pastel look.

Kim Petras is a singer from Germany currently living in America, she is considered to be the worlds youngest Trans-Woman to have completed their transition by having surgery at 16 years old. She now has a very successful career as a Pop Singer. Charlie Martin is a British racing driver who currently competes in sports cars such as the Ginetta GT Cup. In 2019 she campaigned to become the first Transgender Driver to compete in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Fox Fisher and Owl are a Non-Binary couple who have created the Youtube channel My Generation, together they make short films and documentaries about trans people in the UK. While it might seem a bit vain, I decided to include myself as a Cheerleader and Student. I am the first Trans Woman to compete at the University of Sunderland Cheerleading Team. As I was working on the cartoon effect for this project, I began to become dissatisfied with what I was creating, I wanted a more serious effect from this product and I believed that the cartoons were taking away from the very real life role models that were being subjected in the product. It also began to feel a bit disrespectful. This is why I've decided to change to a more realistic drawing in the video (example below) and save graphics and cartoons for the intro and outro. This new art style is inspired by more comic style graphic novels.

Before I settled on a cartoon effect, I wanted a more artistic design for my animation, as you can see below, This was inspired by the art style used in more black and white animations, such as the 2008 video game MadWorld.  However instead of black and white, I wanted to use the colours White, Blue and Pink. The colours of the Transgender Flag.

The module entitled Applied Animation sees us making a short piece of work that conveys a message, such as a charity or a movement. Any method of visual art can be used in the project, including 2D, VR and Design.
